Ceramics Classes
Ceramic classes and seminars are usually hosted once a month at Mar-Lyn
Ceramics. Our teachers are traveling teachers from
different color and mold companies. All of the teachers are
professional artists, trained in all aspects of ceramic products and
techniques. You can see their work in almost any of the monthly
ceramic trade magazines. Please click here for a complete list of upcoming classes!
The seminars are for 1/2 days (3 to 4 hours) and whole days (9AM to 4PM with a lunch break; you can bring a sack lunch or go to a nearby restaurant).
The class fee includes all the instructions and colors used in class. The student has to bring the pieces to work on, the suggested brushes, and other general supplies - scissors, pens, water bowl, palette, etc. Each class has a supply list explaining what to bring. If you can't find or get your pieces ahead of time, we can supply them for a nominal fee. Advanced registration is required, so that the teacher will know how many students to expect.
The ceramic seminars are full of information on colors - how and when to use them; firing kilns; new ceramic techniques; and new ceramic products. Anyone (16 and older) can take the seminar - from a beginner just starting ceramics to those who wish to become certified so that they can help customers at their own shops. So come on and join us for a day of fun and ceramics!
